Report not opening - Failed to open a rowset

When we run reports in CabMaster Designer CL or above (Specifically .RPT) we will see a dialog window appear 'Enter Parameter Values' which allows us some choices to change and the OK button, see below.

After you press the OK button, the window closes and nothing happens. you will notice that an error alert will appear down in the bottom right of the CabMaster screen

[NOTE: this area will alert of lots of different messages so the result can look different depending on what is happening in the drawing at the time.]

SOLUTION

CabMaster cannot find the Schema.ini file that is used to assist with the layout of the reports. Typically inside the CabMaster file paths there is a backup file you can obtain to repair this.

Navigate to your CabMaster Report location;

Step 3: Then paste that link into a Windows Explorer window in the address bar.

Step 4: You will need to then copy the file "Schema.ini" and paste a copy directly into the C:\

Step 5: Re-run the report.
