Putting 3D View on Plan View to Email - V11

Creating 3D & Plan View Document

Do you need to have a PDF document of your job that you can email to your customer? Putting your 3D View design on your Plan View and emailing it to your customer is a simple task and can be done with any level of CabMaster (3D, CL, Pro or Machining Premium). Once you have created your design in CabMaster, go to 3D View:

Position the 3D View how you would like it to be seen by your customer. Once you have completed that, press the To Clipboard button on the View menu:

Then head back to Plan View:

And click the Paste button on the Home menu:

Re-Sizing

“negative” inverted large image showing your 3D view will appear on your Plan View. While holding down the Shift key on your keyboard, hold the left mouse button down with the cursor on the re-sizing block on the top right corner of the image and drag it towards the bottom right corner of your screen to make the image smaller. Using the Shift key while dragging your mouse to resize a picture will force CabMaster to keep the picture in the same shape (also known as aspect ratio).

When it has reached near the bottom corner of your screen, let go of your mouse button, then click on the image and drag it back up towards the middle of your Plan View. Keep repeating this “Re-Sizing” step until it comfortably fits on your Plan View.

Saving as PDF

In the File menu, open the Print option and select Print:

In the “Name” dropdown box, select a printer that will save to a PDF document. In this example we are using Microsoft Print to PDF. Then click on the Pages option below and set the “to:” value to 1. This will all it to export just Page 1 of your drawing, however if you have multiple pages that you need to print, you can set this to the required number of pages.

Click the OK button, then as shown below, type in a filename and press Save.

This will save a PDF file which you can then email to your customers.
TIP: Click the attachment to download this HowTo to your desktop as a .pdf
