Fixed Cabinet Pricing with Alternatives
Fixed cabinet pricing can be very difficult if you are purchasing from
external suppliers. Many businesses use a combination of fixed price with
component pricing. For example, you may choose to establish a fixed price for
the cabinet carcass and then component pricing for hardware and doors.
To achieve this, you would place the carcass fixed price in the Library
Catalog Manager, as you did above, and then select Fixed Price, Doors & Drawers, and Hardware in the Pricing/Markups page of the Pricing category.
If you choose these
options, the price of the cabinet would be drawing information from three
areas:
It
is important to realise that there are any number of combinations are available
here.
NOTE: If you choose an option, you need to be sure that pricing exists for it in the associated module.
In the above example the
associated modules would include Library Catalog Manager, Hardware Manager and Material Manager to be setup accordingly.
