How to Export CabMaster Doors through to DoorMaster

In order to export the doors and panels that have been designed in CabMaster you first need to have correctly prepared the materials that you are using so they can be distinguished by the export Report to be required to be passed through to DoorMaster.

Step 1: correct setup of the Material in CabMaster using the Materials Manager, the Name of the Material to make it easier for use in the drawing to know that it will export to DoorMaster.

Also during the setup you will need to specify a ‘Style’ name for the material, this needs to be an EXACT copy of the name of the door profile in DoorMaster.

Step 2: configuring the Exporting Tab in the drawing properties of CabMaster (which should also be done at the catalog level to set as the default configuration) Make sure the DoorMaster Install path is correct and contains the final “\”, this allows the export to find all the DoorMaster settings you have configured.

Step 3: Once the material is all configured correctly and your drawing is complete you need to export the doors, you will need to go to the Drawing properties in the ‘My Extensions’ area under the ‘Plug-Ins’, and click on the “DoorMaster” button there.

If all the settings are correct you need to then press the “Export to DoorMaster” at the bottom of that page.

At this point you will be greeted with a command prompt that will be asking you to enter a file name.

This File name is what name you will call the file you are going to import into DoorMaster.

Step 4: Importing into DoorMaster, you will need to open a blank drawing, using the File menu on the top left, you will select ‘Import’, Then you need to use the ‘Import Item List’.

This will then contain all the doors from CabMaster in the DoorMaster drawing, you can still manipulate the Doors imported before further exporting to EzyNest for Machining.
